Meet Inspiring Indigo Syd
This guy sits on my desk ready to catch my malas when I have to take them off to write. Sure, I could wear my malas on my left hand and avoid all the drama, but deny this hunk the chance to play dress up once in a while? No way … those eyes, that smile.
The color of intuition, perception and the higher mind, Indigo promotes concentration during times of introspection and meditation, helping you achieved deeper levels of consciousness. It relates to the ability to see beyond the normal senses. Service to humanity is one of the strengths of the color indigo. Powerful and dignified, indigo conveys integrity and sincerity.
Meet Sat Nam Silver Syd
This guy sits on the dashboard of my car. For so many reasons, but specifically: he lights the way forward, and I believe keeps me safe, while I am driving; and he helps me keep my mind open and free from judgement. I do a good deal of meditation in the car. I drive to places where I love the view and no once can interrupt me. Having Syd by my side shifts the vibration to a higher place.
Silver opens the mind and lights the way forward. It is reflection, insight and wisdom. From a psychology viewpoint it signals a change in direction as it illuminates the path. It assists in opening new doors and lights the future.
Meet Blissful Bronze Syd
This guy sits on a file cabinet in my office, next to these words to remind me everything is fluid, I am never stuck, and good things belong to me every step of the way. I’m not going to lie, I invited this Syd into my life as a means to an end, or at at least a very high point along the journey as I seek plenitude, or completeness — what I like to call abundance but without the excess.
Bronze is the color of wealth and success. The psychology of this color implies affluence, material wealth & elegance. Optimistic and positive, bronze adds richness and warmth to your life. It is perfect for drawing in money and abundance.

Is it time to #GetMonked?
Little Syd, all 14 colors of him along with Big Syd (below), is the brain child of fellow Virgo Ellen Atkins (The Suburban Monk) whom I greatly admire. Born from Ellen’s quest to find happiness, Syd brings happiness and so much more to all those who welcome him into their lives. It is with immense pride that I have partnered with Ellen as a Suburban Monk affiliate to help spread the word about Syd.
Along with the Live.Laugh.Mala! collection (below), Syd is available for purchase via The Suburban Monk — just click HERE to head on over to Ellen’s website to learn more about her story and purchase your very own Syd, or Syds, and malas.
