It’s the most booziest time of the year. In many of the conversations I’ve been having the past few days, a lot of questions and emotions have come up. How do I get through without a drink? What if I can’t do it? Everyone else in my family drinks, and not just a little bit. Can I really stay sober in the middle of a room of drunk people?

I hear you. I see you. I completely understand. I have been there and so have many others. Lots of friends in our recovery community have shared their thoughts on this topic; here are a few who’ve caught my attention:
